PhotosBridge

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 25, 2026  ·  Last Updated: June 26, 2026

1. Overview

PhotosBridge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use PhotosBridge (the "App").

PhotosBridge synchronizes your Apple Photos and Google Photos libraries by archiving photos in Google Photos that you have deleted from Apple Photos. We access the minimum data necessary to provide this functionality.

2. Google API Data Access

When you connect your Google account, PhotosBridge requests the following Google API scopes:

Scope Why it is needed
photoslibrary.readonly To read photo metadata (filenames and capture dates) from your Google Photos library so we can match photos against your Apple Photos library. We never download photo or video content.
photoslibrary To archive photos in Google Photos that you have deleted from Apple Photos. The Google Photos API requires this scope to archive existing library items. We only archive — we never permanently delete photos. Archiving is fully reversible.

More limited scopes are not sufficient: photoslibrary.readonly alone does not permit archiving, and photoslibrary.edit.appcreateddata only permits editing items uploaded by the app itself, which excludes pre-existing library items.

3. What we do not do with your data

4. Data we store

We store only what is necessary to operate the sync:

All stored data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols.

5. Google API Services User Data Policy

PhotosBridge's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. If you disconnect your Google account or delete your PhotosBridge account, all associated OAuth tokens, metadata, and sync history are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

7. Revoking access

You can revoke PhotosBridge's access to your Google account at any time:
